From page to plate

A mound of magazines have sat on a shelf withholding their potential for many good meals. How many of these recipes have ever been attempted by the common reader? Sure, many look appealing so much so that you can almost smell the picture. By the end of February, I’ll have smelled 28 Magazine meals in real life!

I’ve chosen 28 recipes that are interesting. Most seem like a meal I would choose off a restaurant menu, whereas others are pushing adventurous. I’ve written a shopping list and happily I own most of the ingredients already. There are a few ingredients that I may have to substitute. After sampling each dish, my family and I will decide if that recipe is worthy to enter my recipe box, maybe with a few tweaks.

Most of these recipes come from Family Circle and a few from Parents. My hope in blogging about this Magazine meal experience is to broaden my family’s culinary horizon and to find out how easy and wonderful these meals are to make and eat....but mostly, to hold myself accountable for making these meals!
